In the light of the unfortunate terrorist activities, the JJIF Board has decided to withdraw the hosting contract of the 2015 World Championship (seniors) from the Tunisian Judo & Ju-Jitsu Federation.
While we acknowledge that no country is safe from potential terrorist attacks, we believe that the safety of our athletes, coaches, referees and other officials would be endangered by traveling to an insecure location, as Tunisia has now become.
The JJIF Board kindly asks any federation willing and able to organize the World Championship, to present a proposal in this sense, no later than July 25 (date of the JJIF General Assembly).
To the extent possible, we will favour a country outside Europe and we ecourage keeping the date of the event (November 27-29).
